Dumpster Rental FAQs

Why do tires and mattresses cost extra for disposal in the dumpster?

Tires and mattresses incur additional charges due to landfill disposal fees.

How much weight can a dumpster hold, and does it depend on the materials?

The weight capacity of a dumpster varies depending on the type of materials you're disposing of. Please contact us for specific weight limits.

Can I fill a dumpster with heavy materials like concrete or dirt?

Heavy materials like concrete, masonry, dirt, etc., are allowed, but they should not exceed 40% (less than half) of the 30-yard dumpster's capacity, as the truck may not be able to lift it. We require 15 yard dumpsters for this kind of project.

Is it allowed to overfill a dumpster above the edge?

Dumpsters cannot be overfilled above the edge. Please ensure that the materials are below the rim of the dumpster. Tarp must be secured over the dumpster to avoid hazards during transportation.

Will the placement of a dumpster scratch my driveway or damage my yard?

Yes, dumpster rentals can potentially scratch driveways. We do not place them in yards or on soft surfaces, as the truck can get stuck and cause damage. We recommend putting plywood down if scratching the driveway is a concern.

Do dumpsters leak oil, and is it common?

All dumpster rentals may have some oil drips. This is a common occurrence.

Will my dumpster be delivered on time?

The driver follows a circular route with time constraints. Ensure that all debris is cleared, and there's a clear spot for dumpster placement. If debris blocks the area, the driver may need to return on the next available delivery date.

How much advance notice is required for dumpster delivery, pick-up, or swap?

To ensure prompt service, provide as much advance notice as possible. While we occasionally offer next-day service, we typically require 2-3 days' notice due to availability.

Where can I dispose of specific materials like brush, trees, concrete, or dirt?

We can take brush, trees, concrete, masonry, dirt, and asphalt to our "Brush Dump" with flat rates. We can also dedicate a driver for multiple loads with advance notice.

How often will my dumpster be emptied?

We require a minimum of at least one dump per month.

What happens if I don't pay my dumpster invoice within 30 days?

After 30 days, if the dumpster invoice is not paid, interest will be charged. After 45 days you will receive an intent to lien letter.

What happens if I don't pay my dumpster invoice within 60 days?

After 60 days, if the dumpster invoice is unpaid, WTT will place a lien on the house/property.
